Genesis 25: 21 "And Isaac entreated the Lord for his awife, because she was bbarren: and the Lord was centreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived."
Issac had the promised blessing of being the line in which Israel would come from. He and Rebekah had to wait a long time before they had children. Maybe it was because the Lord wanted to teach them patience, or maybe they just didn't think of asking until 20 years later.
The reason why is not the focus of my thoughts right now. I want to focus on the fact again that the Lord keeps his promises. Even if it seems impossible, they are kept. If you have had a blessing given to you, or if you follow a scriptural commitment, such as paying a tithe, you will be blessed. It may seem like you won't, or things may get worst before they get better, but you will be blessed as long as you do what he asks of you. Again to the principle of tithing. It is promised from Malachi that the windows of heaven will be open and you will receive a blessing that you shall not have enough room to receive it. But you need to pay 10%.
Issac I imagine was doing what he was supposed to do, and as a result, he did have children. The promise made to Abraham continues on.
