Ephraim's Blessing

Genesis Chapter 48

17 And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right ahand upon the head of bEphraim, cit displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head unto Manasseh’s head.
18 And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.
19 And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be agreat: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his bseed shall become a cmultitude of dnations.

So, this is the first mention of the blessings of being in the twelve tribes of Israel. It is is amazing that Jacob (Israel) knew about Manasseh and Ephraim, before he blessed them. The blessing is being fulfilled today, in the sense that there was a lost 10 tribes, and Ephraim was one of them. They are being gathered, and they have truly become a multitude of nations.
