39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath ashewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and bwise as thou art:
40 Thou shalt be aover my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be bgreater than thou.
Joseph spent a long time in jail, not sure how long, but if you are innocent and more than several days pass by while you are in prison, to me is a long time. But Joseph has been faithful his whole life to Heavenly Father and Christ, and just now are the promised blessings. It seems like the longer the delay or longer the trial, the greater blessings will come. There is opposition in all things, and even though this law is a law of science, but it makes me think of a pendulum. It swings one way (the opposition), but then it swings back in the other direction ( blessings). Sometimes the opposition is a physical threat, sometimes it is a spiritual threat, or sometimes it is both. The same can also be said of the blessings Heavenly Father wants to give us.
